When FreshWorks Studio’s HR Manager Shannon Parker started scaling the company in 2018, she knew she needed an HR software that could grow with their organization. Their software at the time was missing some key features, especially around performance management. She was building an HR department from scratch, so she needed a system that would take things like managing benefits off her plate.
When looking at options, Shannon wanted something that fit their needs but wasn’t overly complicated, “I didn’t want to go with some of the bigger systems, because it was way more than what we needed. It would have been a distraction.”
Since switching to Humi in 2018, Shannon can breathe easier, “Humi saves us so much time. There are a handful of things that I don’t need to worry about anymore. Now I can focus on strategy because the transactional pieces no longer bog me down.”
Humi takes care of everything from time-off tracking to employee onboarding, allowing Shannon to shift her focus and prioritize her growing team, “I don’t have any paper documents that employees need to sign anymore, even employee tax forms. It’s all on Humi. Whenever we have a policy update, I add it in Humi and get everybody to sign it. I can then track whether they’ve signed it, and once they have, it’s automatically uploaded to their employee profile. It’s a lifesaver.”

Shannon also relies on Humi Benefits, “It’s the real game-changer. For anyone managing their own benefits, my question is, ‘Why?’” With Humi Benefits, FreshWorks Studios employees can easily manage their own benefits information, “I don’t need to create multiple documents and explain to employees what their plan covers. They know it’s all on Humi.”

Implementing Career Development Program
On the performance management side, Shannon uses Humi Performance alongside some of our recommended best practices. “I feel like Humi went the extra mile. A lot of our career development program was influenced by what Humi recommended. You equipped us with resources and documentation to implement an excellent performance management system.”

Recording Team Member Qualifications
In the near future, Shannon plans on using Humi’s new Training Tracker module, “I’m really excited about it. We can assign the training to everybody and track who completes it. It’s great because now employees can update it themselves, without me having to go out of my way to follow up and update it for them.”
