A year for the books: a look at our 2022 highlights

Another year has flown by in the blink of an eye. As we gear up for the new year, we’re looking back and reflecting on our achievements from 2022. And while our product has taken huge steps forward this year, we’re taking this opportunity to focus on our non-product accomplishments – aka, all the things we’re doing to take good care of our people, and to help businesses do the same. 

So, without further ado, here's a look at our 2022 highlight reel! 

Great Place to Work Certification 

We already knew we were pretty awesome – but in April 2022, we got a badge to prove it! This year, we officially earned our Great Place to Work Certification, recognizing Humi as a workplace that provides a great work culture and employee experience. But it’s not just our culture that deserves to be recognized; here’s to our amazing Humigos who make Humi, Humi.

Bay Street Bull’s Power 50 

Bay Street Bull’s Power 50: Most Impactful Companies for 2022 list is one that acknowledges Canadian companies that are progressing and making a change in their respective industries. At Humi, we love to shake things up for the better, so we’re thrilled to be recognized for helping to digitize the traditionally paper-heavy HR industry.

Globe and Mail’s Top Growing Companies for Canada 2022 

In September, Globe and Mail released their annual list of Top Growing Companies for the year. With a revenue growth of 607% over the last three years, we managed to rank number 76 out of 430 companies – not too shabby, if we do say so ourselves. Of course, this accomplishment wouldn't have been possible without our extremely talented team of Humigos and the amazing support of all of our clients.

Best Workplaces for Inclusion in 2022

On top of our Great Place to Work Certification, we were also announced as part of the list of Best Workplaces for Inclusion in 2022 – meaning 90% or more of Humigos agree that they are treated fairly regardless of gender, ethnicity, age, sexual oritentation, or other personal characteristics. This one makes us super proud, because the values that we strive to uphold at Humi (e.g. caring about people’s happiness, respect people’s individuality), at their very core, are about making sure our people are able to be their true and authentic selves at work. 

Best Workplaces in Ontario in 2022

You've got that right: we have not one, not two, but three Great Place to Work Certifications! This one’s province-specific – while we’re remote-first and have Humigos working all across Canada, our headquarters are located in Toronto, Ontario, so we were recognized as being one of the best workplaces in Ontario for the year 2022

And finally… the Ameego acquisition! 

Okay, we might be cheating a little with this one. It is related to our product, but it’s also so much more than that. Our mission has always been to help businesses take good care of their people, and one of the areas we were seriously lacking in prior to 2022 was time tracking and scheduling. That’s why our favourite happening of this year is our acquisition of world-class restaurant employee scheduling software, Ameego!

As we look towards the near year, we’re excited to work on integrating Ameego’s software with our own so we can be the go-to solution for not just HR, payroll, benefits, and insurance – but employee scheduling and time clocking, too.
