Let's jump into the payroll system. Click on the "Payroll" tab on the left-hand side. In the overview section, you'll see to the period number, period spans, payday, the run-by date, the type of payroll (recurring or off-cycle), and the stage your payroll is in.
Choose a payroll you’d like to edit and click on it.
The "V" is the vacation pay for a specific employee, which our system automatically calculates based on the employee's compensation and hours. When you add an extra payment to an employee’s salary, you’ll notice an automatic recalculation in their vacation pay.
You also have the option to click inside the box and manually enter this information. Keep in mind, once you click inside the box, you'll disable the calculation for the current period.
At the review stage, you’ll examine the payroll summary with automatic provincial tax calculations, such as the Employer Health Tax (EHT).
It's important to note that Humi does not yet remit this tax.
If you scroll down from the "Review Payroll" page, you'll notice a list with all your employees.
Pending Stage – once payroll is in the stage known as "pending," you won't be able to make any adjustments to your employee’s benefits or compensation. To make any modifications, you'll need to open payroll by clicking "edit."
Now that you’ve thoroughly reviewed all the details and have ensured everything is correct, scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on “Complete & Pay.” Here, you’ll receive a popup reminding you to pay the provincial tax amounts with a link to make this payment.
