Nora Jenkins Townson

Nora is an unconventional HR expert with 10 years of experience in the design and technology industries. After helping some of the most successful Canadian startups grow, she has a unique view into building healthy organizations. Nora believes that the best People strategies are human first and data informed, with a dash of design thinking. With a background leading HR at Canadian success stories like Wealthsimple and FreshBooks, she founded Bright + Early, a consultancy of forward-thinking HR experts on a mission to craft the world’s best workplaces. She is the co-author of The Parenting Playbook, a resource for small businesses on navigating parenthood in the workplace, and a writer at TechCrunch’s Extra Crunch. Ron Sparrow, MSW, RSW

Ron is a founding partner of Source Line and for the last 20 plus years he has been involved in the employee assistance profession as a consultant. Ron has consulted to both union and non-union workplaces. He has provided workplace trainings on such topics as the Respectful Workplace, Workplace Crisis Interventions, Addictions and Enabling, Work Life Balance, Violence in the Workplace and organizational mental health costs and concerns. Jon Krop

Jon is the founder of Mindfulness for Lawyers and, graduated from Harvard Law School and Brown University. After law school, he clerked on the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and worked as a litigator at public-interest law firms in Los Angeles and New York City. Jon has taught mindfulness at Harvard, Stanford, Yale, the Pentagon, Fortune 100 companies, and more than 50 top law firms. Jon has practiced mindfulness since 2006 and has studied with teachers from around the world, including psychologists, neuroscientists, and traditional Buddhist masters.
